1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. Cookies help us make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies cannot run programs and cannot transmit viruses.

2. Which cookies do we use?

a) Essential (technical) cookies

These cookies are required for our website to function. They provide basic functions such as language selection, your search criteria and page navigation. Without these cookies the website cannot work properly.

b) Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website. These cookies collect anonymous information such as page views, session duration, visitor source and the device used. The data helps us improve our website and content. Your IP address is transferred in anonymised form.

c) Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to display advertising on our website. Google uses cookies to show you relevant ads and to limit the number of ad impressions. Personalised ads based on your usage behaviour may also be displayed. For details please see Google's Privacy Policy.

d) Third-party service cookies

For our flight, hotel and car rental searches we use third-party services such as Travelpayouts, Booking.com and Rentalcars.com. These providers may set their own cookies to process your search requests and show you prices.

3. How long are cookies stored?

The storage duration depends on the type of cookie: session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device until you delete them manually or the statutory retention period expires.

4. Managing and deleting cookies

You can manage, restrict or delete cookies in your browser at any time. Instructions by browser:

• Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
• Safari: Settings → Privacy → Cookies and Website Data
• Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and saved data

If you disable cookies completely, some functions of our website may not work properly.

5. Consent

Where consent is required for the use of analytics and advertising cookies, we obtain your consent before placing such cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. This policy has been prepared within the framework of the GDPR.
